Broken English is the latest addition to the dog-friendly dining scene on Smith Street. The restaurant has a wide stretch of sidewalk seating making it perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors with your dog. An Italian menu features Roman dishes such as sauteed artichokes, fritto misto, meatballs and fresh pastas. We enjoyed their raw bar selections and loved the pastas but felt the artichokes were overpriced for the small portion size. Service was attentive and friendly and we were even greeted by one of the owners who comes from the popular West Village spot, Morandi. We’ll soon be back to check out their brunch and you should visit, too.
